The Series Activity “Join in the ICCIE to Know Beijing” to be Launched in Early September: 11 Resources-Sharing Units like China National Theater and Capital Museum to be Involved

As one of the comprehensive activities of the 12th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as ICCIE 2017), the series activity of “Join in the ICCIE to Know Beijing” will be launched in early September. sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-council (CCPIT Beijing) and presented by Beijing Walking Association. Beijing Walking Association will organize and encourage the general public to join in the major exhibition of ICCIE 2017 and visit a total of 11 distinctive museums, art galleries, and cultural innovative enterprises to experience “cultural charms” and appreciate “cultural beauty”.


Recently, president of Beijing Walking Association Shi Shaojie, director of CCPIT Beijing Xiong Jiuling, deputy inspector of CCPIT Beijing Wang Chaoying, head of Large-Scale Activity Department of CCPIT Beijing An Yongjun and other leaders have been to the Base of intangible cultural heritage in the Altar of Moon, one of the resource-sharing units in this series activity, to conduct research work. The Base of intangible cultural heritage in the Altar of Moon which used to be Beijing’s famous small commodity wholesale market Tian Wai Tian in 2016, was transformed into a cultural project with major investment in Xicheng District. Nowadays, it has become a national intangible cultural heritage exhibition and exchange center, bringing together over 1000 intangible cultural heritage artworks from more than 100 well-known crafts and artisan masters throughout the country.


It is reported that the series activity of “Join in the ICCIE to Know Beijing” in 2017 has solicited a total of 11 resource-sharing units, including China National Theater, Capital Museum, Beijing Concert Hall, China National Film Museum, the Base of intangible cultural heritage in the Altar of Moon, Bocui Wine Club, Ci Dian International Ceramic Work Center, Inside-Out Art Museum, A Journey of Chinese Characters, Beijing Fun, and the Parkview Museum. The event will open up for 10,000 places for the general public, and the audience can register for the activity through official WeChat account “National Fitness Service — We Shape Your Body”.


The series activity of “Join in the ICCIE to Know Beijing” adheres to the development concept of “innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing” and centers on the theme of ICCIE 2017―“integration of culture and technology, inheritance of innovative development”. It aims at leading capital citizens to have an in-depth understanding of Beijing cultural and creative innovation resources, stimulating them to inherit Chinese civilization, learn traditional culture, protect historical relics and enhance the vitality of cultural innovation, and exploring and innovating activity forms of the ICCIE.
