“Experience Beijing with ICCIE 2018” Activities Kick off in mid-October

The 13th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (the ICCIE 2018) will be held in Beijing from October 25 (Thursday) to 28 (Sunday), jointly sponsored by Ministry of Culture and Tourism, National Radio and Television Administration, National Press and Publication Administration and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality. As a major part of the Expo’s multifaceted platform consisting of comprehensive activities, exhibitions and displays, promotions and transactions, forums and meetings, creative activities and parallel sessions, a series of activities themed “Experience Beijing with ICCIE” will kick off in mid-October 2018.

Upon the highly-recognized ICCIE, a national-level grand expo of international participation, the one-month “Experience Beijing with ICCIE” activities, sponsored by CCPIT Beijing and organized by Beijing Hiking Association, is going to show Beijing’s cultural creation and innovation resources to local citizens, providing an overview of the great sci-tech and cultural achievements and latest developments in the past 40 years reform and opening-up in Beijing.

The events of “Experience Beijing with ICCIE 2018” feature Open Day of Resource-sharing Entities, ICCIE 2018 APP, Walking around ICCIE2018 and the Beauty of ICCIE 2018 mobile photography contest. In particular, the Open Day of Resource-sharing Entities will be around several main lines including renovation of the old districts; transformation of industrial legacy sites into cultural and creative parks; the national cultural industry innovation experimental area; and the transformation and commercialization of traditional culture, with 10 selected ICCIE resource-sharing entities open to the public, offering firsthand experience of various kinds of unique cultural and creative resources.

The 10 resource-sharing entities are reported to include Yuetan Inheritance Club, Shijia Hutong Museum, Shougang Industrial Heritage Park, Giri (Beijing) International Art Zone, Beijing Local Chronicles Museum, Beijing Wuzi University, National Museum of Modern Chinese Literature, the China Soong Ching-ling Science & Cultural Center for Young People, the No.93 Courtyard Museum and Beijing Arts and Crafts Museum.
